NEW 1099-NEC form REQUIREMENT for Sage 100 1099 Processing in 2020

New 1099-NEC form & Sage 100

What happened?

The IRS has released a brand new 1099 form for 2020 filings called 1099-NEC, Non-Employee Compensation. The Non-Employee Compensation field was removed from the 1099-MISC form so the 1099-NEC is essential for this year’s 1099 processing, if this payment scenario is applicable to your organization.

What does this mean for Sage 100 users?

In order to be compliant and use the Aatrix 1099 processes embedded in Sage 100, your organization must be running one of the following versions:

  • Sage 100 versions 2020.x,
  • Sage 100 version 2019.3 (or higher)
  • Sage 100 version 2018.9 (or higher)

Versions not currently supported by Sage will not be compliant.
NOTE: No version prior to version 2018 will offer this functionality.

See Sage KnowledgeBase article for further details.
