A Glimpse into Acumatica Summit 2016
Acumatica, leading provider of Cloud ERP and Cloud Accounting Software, held their annual conference in Orlando, FL the first week of February. The event was a 2 day partner and customer conference, followed by 3 days of training (optional).
Attendance peaked at nearly 600 people, including partners, customers, Acumatica staff, and vendors. This was the first year customers attended and Acumatica included customer focused panels and sessions. There were also an estimated 25 vendors in the expo area.
Jon Roskill, CEO, enlightened the audience during his Monday keynote by recapping the 2015 company highlights and standing true to their philosophy of remaining a transparent, partner focused company:
- Acumatica remains the fastest growing Cloud ERP, with 100% revenue growth
- The 2,000th customer signed with Acumatica in 2015
- 60 new VAR’s signed with Acumatica in 2015
- 30 new ISV’s signed with Acumatica in 2015
Acumatica announced the release of version 5.3 and Gabriel Michaud, GM of Acumatica Labs, came on stage and gave a brief demo on some of the new features. Part of the demo was even done directly from his iphone! Version 5.3 features focus on performance, stability and mobility. Enhanced mobile app, new web services API, and robust integration with Microsoft Exchange are just a few of the updates.
In regards to marketing automation, Acumatica announced integration with HubSpot, which will connect marketing activities and CRM processes.
Acumatica Labs opened in Montreal, Canada, and is a development facility to bridge the gap between customer demands and core engineering. Acumatica will perform testing and integration procedures, working in conjunction with their leading OEM’s and ISV’s.
Acumatica also announced the acquisition of M5 Software, which will help to bring Acumatica Field Services Edition to market faster. Lastly, product Configurator will be released for the JAMS Manufacturing Solution.
General Sessions at the event included Sales, Marketing and Product tracks.
The event was nicely organized and the location, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress was a beautiful location. A welcome reception was held Sunday evening and was a great opportunity to network and visit the expo area. Monday night included a celebration event with delicious food and lots of fun.
The Acumatica executive team and staff members made themselves available for questions and conversation throughout the conference.
