Software Symposium 2015 Recap

The emphasis was on customer service at DSD Business Systems’ recent Software Symposium in La Jolla. The Software Symposium was a much anticipated customer event, held on the beautiful garden terrace at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla.

Software Symposium 2015 RecapThe focus on customer service began with the morning keynote by Brad Smith, Sage’s Executive Vice-President of Customer Experience. Brad began his keynote by saying something that resonated with everyone at the event. He said that it should be any customer service department’s primary mission to make sure that their company keeps all of its brand promises to its own customers. I felt it was said quite well and gave all the attendees a great deal to think about.

The focus on customer service continued throughout the day with Sage’s Rob Lawson presenting “Delivering the Ultimate Customer Experience Using CRM”. Rob’s presentation merged nicely with Brad’s morning keynote address and showed the attendees how Sage CRM can energize and enhance their customer experience.

Additional breakout sessions on “Inventory Optimization with Sage Inventory Advisor” by Sage’s Tom Wilson and “Moving Customers and Prospects up the Ladder of Engagement” by Website Pipeline’s Don Martin were all about adding tools to a Sage ERP system that allow any company to better react to customer demand, whether it’s a demand for inventory products or a demand for services.

The Software Symposium schedule was rounded out by sessions devoted to the newest Sage product releases, and recent enhancement product releases by DSD Business Systems’ own staff. All products featured were designed to help companies be more responsive to their own customers’ needs.

Software Symposium 2015 RecapThe afternoon keynote, by Colette Carlson, addressed the Language of Leadership. Colette spoke about being conscious of the verbal and non-verbal cues you send, whether that is within an organization or in interacting with clients. Attendees left the session feeling inspired and energized. The Software Symposium was a tremendous success by all accounts and DSD Business Systems is looking forward to our next event.
