In order to understand how DSD can assist you in finding the most optimal solution for your business, it is helpful to understand our solution design process. A DSD solution design is comprised of several elements intended to uncover your current needs and to address your long-term goals. Some of the elements of our design process are; Prequalification , Process Review , Analysis , Solution Proposal and the IT System Review .
Implementation Process

During that time, we have spent thousands of hours refining our Training , Implementation , Project Management , Account Management and Customization processes and services. Prequalification
Your first contact with DSD will be with the New Relations Director. The main goal of the first conversation is to acquire a high level understanding of your requirements and to learn basic information about your business model. Your New Relations Director will coordinate your first meeting, send you information, document your feedback, and be an advocate and reliable point of contact throughout the evaluation process.
We also understand that sometimes a software evaluation can take a back seat to current business issues, therefore your New Relations Director will continue to follow up until you are ready to begin your project.
Process Review
The first step in DSD’s solution design process is to have an on-site Process Review meeting. We want to begin to understand your unique business processes, issues, and your main objectives in acquiring a new system. Attendees at the first meeting should be anyone who will be involved in the decision, which will ensure that everyone has the same goals and expectations.
A Solution Consultant performs the Process Review. Our Solution Consultants bring added value due to their experience as implementers and end users. You can rely on your DSD Solution Consultant to identify all of your unique business needs.
Analysis
After the Process Review has been completed the Solution Consultant has the information necessary to begin your solution design. Your Solution Consultant will work as a team with other members of DSD’s staff to design a solution that meets your business needs. The exceptional team at DSD has a wealth of industry experience and product knowledge. We will use all of our knowledge, experience and creativity to design a successful business solution for you.
Solution Proposal and Presentation
The Solution Proposal and Presentation will demonstrate DSD’s understanding of your business needs and how DSD has translated those needs into a solution for you. The proposal includes a complete description of training, technical services, maintenance and support, as well as the proposed software.
IT System Review
Another value-added benefit is our IT Department. DSD maintains a full time, fully certified and licensed IT staff. Whether you have your own IT provider or use DSD’s, we will ensure that whatever we provide you with is fully compatible with your existing system.
In conjunction with the Process Review, our IT staff will conduct a thorough evaluation of your network and hardware in order to make you aware of any system incompatibilities or weaknesses, and any associated costs.
Many of DSD’s users, who have their own in-house IT staff, rely on our IT staff as a backup source for round-the-clock hardware support.
Training
Software training is available at your office or in a classroom setting at DSD. We have Certified Trainers who provide a friendly and informative training environment. We have found that by getting away from distractions at your office and focusing on training, you will minimize implementation costs and maximize your staff’s training experience.
Training classes are offered in the middle of the month to allow for typical accounting schedules. We offer discounts for more than 2 students per class. In addition, you may refresh you skills and attend classes again at no charge for as long as you are employed with the same company.
Implementation
DSD takes a team approach to your system implementation.
Each implementation begins with a planning meeting where all of the key players on the project are in attendance. At that meeting you will meet your Lead Implementer and the DSD Project Manager.
Our objective for all implementations is the same; to quickly and efficiently implement your solution while working as a team with your staff. We want to enable our clients to have all the tools necessary for a smooth transition and empower them to be self-sufficient.
Project Management
Project management is crucial to the success of your project. DSD’s Project Manager brings organization, expectation management and unique perspective to your implementation.
You will receive frequent updates and statements of work from DSD’s Project Manager. Successful implementations happen when both sides of the team are kept informed of progress and have a clear documented plan of attack.
Account Management
After your implementation is completed you will be assigned a DSD Client Advocate. They will be your one point of contact for any and all of your system needs. The Client Advocate acts as your voice within DSD. The Client Advocate's role is to maintain regular contact with you, and to provide information that is beneficial to the growth of your company. In addition your Client Advocate will keep you aware of software updates, maintenance renewals and new products.
