Sage will be releasing the 4.40 version of MAS 90/200 in the coming weeks, and we want to give you an update on our progress with the 4.40 release of our own DSD Enhancements, as well as the re-release of Extended Solutions under the DSD product umbrella.

DSD Multi-Currency 4.40: We started the upgrade of our Multi-Currency solutions back in June 2009, running parallel with Sage's 4.40 upgrade development, and I'm happy to say that we have completed our initial programming of all nine modules. We are in QA right now and expect a final release in March 2010. The Currency Module (CUMC), Inventory Multi-Currency (IMMC), and P/O Multi-Currency (POMC) have been rewritten in the Business Framework, and we've added new functionality to the Currency Module to allow for Exchange Rate download.

DSD Multi-Company and Cash Basis 4.40: We've completed the upgrade of all Multi-Company and Cash Basis enhancements, and we are in the process of reviewing the Extended Solution versions of these products for any functionality that is missing in the DSD version. We will be adding that missing functionality (if any), and we will provide the 4.40 DSD version of these products to users that currently have the Extended Solution version, all for the price of a maintenance plan.

• The DSD G/L Multi-Company product (GLMU) will replace ES's GL-1034, GL-1057, GL-1058, and GL-1059.
• The DSD A/P Multi-Company product (APMU) will replace ES AP-1027.
• The DSD G/L Daily Transaction Register by Company (GLCD) will replace ES GL-1026.
• The DSD G/L Account Copy by Company (GLAC) will replace ES GL-1054.
• The DSD A/P Cash Basis (APCB) will replace ES's AP-1006 and PO-1037.
• The DSD A/R Cash Basis (ARCB) will replace ES AR-1034.

Again, we are providing 4.40 versions of these DSD enhancements to those users that have these Extended Solutions, and they will only have to purchase the first year's maintenance plan, with no additional cost. Our goal is to have all of these products released in version 4.40 - for the upcoming March 2010 release.

All other DSD Enhancements: We are already in the process of upgrading our other DSD Enhancements to 4.40, and our goal is to have all of them released in March 2010. The exception is the DSD Magnetic Media products, which will be released this month.

DSD Extended Solutions: Since Sage's announcement in November that the majority of the Extended Solutions will be retired, DSD has spent many hours of research to determine our strategy in releasing these solutions in version 4.40. We are currently in the process of updating our website with one web page for each DSD Extended Solution. In a few weeks, we will have pricing established for each of these solutions, which will be made available on our website. There will be three prices for each product: (1) Purchase Price, (2) Maintenance Plan, and (3) 4.40 Jump Fee.

We have placed the Extended Solutions in the following categories:

Quick Release: These Extended Solutions will be upgraded to

version 4.40 first. We will make these products available to users that own prior versions of the Extended Solution for the price of a Maintenance Plan, and there will be no additional fee to upgrade to version 4.40.

DSD Replacement: These Extended Solutions will be

replaced by DSD’s version of the product (as mentioned above) and upgraded to version 4.40 right away. We will make these products available to users that own prior versions of the Extended Solution for the price of a Maintenance Plan, and there will be no additional fee to upgrade to version 4.40.

4.40 Jump Fee: These Extended Solutions will require major

redevelopment effort to upgrade to the Business Framework for version 4.40. We will make these products available to users that own prior versions of the Extended Solution for the price of a Maintenance Plan plus a one-time "Jump" fee to receive the 4.40 version of the product. These Extended Solutions will be upgraded at a later date or upon request.

Sage Keepers: These Extended Solutions have been retained

by Sage, and you may purchase the product directly from Sage at version 4.30. Sage will be adding these solutions into the standard MAS 90/200 product over the next few years. If you or your client needs one of these solutions in version 4.40 right away, please contact DSD directly for a price quote.

NOTE: If you need to purchase a prior version of these Extended Solutions, DSD will provide those upon request.
