Red Flags

Watch out for "red flags" that may indicate that the reseller that your are considering is not going to provide quality service and support.

Heavily Discounted Software: The saying you get what you pay for holds especially true for business management software. Two things will happen if you buy software that is way below list price; 1) The company you bought it from will need to make up for the loss of margin by adding time and money to your implementation 2) The company will be unable to implement the system properly, and you will be forced to find another company to implement the software, which will also cost additional time, money, and cause much unneeded stress.

Lack of Experience: Just because someone can sell you the software does not mean that they are experts in the industry and qualified to address issues that may arise. Your best bet is to find a software vendor with at least 10 years of experience with not only the software but networking systems to support it.

Non Local Support: Although advances in technology have allowed us to accomplish a great deal of work remotely, you will be best served by a company that is located near you and can provide onsite support in a timely matter. DSD makes clients who need immediate onsite support our first priority.

High Staff Turnover: You can always tell the quality of a company by how they treat their employees, DSD values their employees and we experience very little turn over in staff. Make sure to ask whomever you are working with how long they have been with the company. You do not want to risk having the person you are working with leave in the middle of your implementation, which could cause confusion, and again loss of time and unneeded stress.
