Identifying Under - Pricing
The experience of purchasing a software solution is greater than the sum of it's parts.
You simply can't divide an integrated process into bite sized chunks and shop each component around, or at least you can't expect your project to be successful with that approach.
Resellers with experience and proven track records know that success can only be achieved when you select a vendor who can deliver on all the elements of your project. While it's easy to find resellers willing to make a quick buck writing an order, it's far more difficult to find a reseller who will work with you throughout the entire scope of your project.
Heavily Discounted Software
The saying, "You get what you pay for" holds especially true for business management software. Two things will happen if you buy software that is significantly discounted from the list price; 1) The company you bought it from will simply make up for the lost margin by adding time and money to your implementation, or 2) The company will be unable to implement the system properly, and you will be forced to find another company to implement the software - adding costs, additional time, money, and usually a great deal of unneeded stress.
Lack of ExperienceExperience and the significant value it adds to the process represent the difference between writing an order and selling a solution. Anyone can write an order, but only those experts with experienced in the industry are qualified to design a solution to address your specific needs and deal with any issues that may arise. You will be well served in finding a software vendor with at least 10 years of experience, someone who can provide not only software, but the networking systems to support it as well.
Non Local SupportWhile globalization and advanced technology have allowed us to accomplish a great deal of work remotely, nothing can replace a local company with who you can share common experiences, one who can provide onsite support in a timely matter and one who understands the economic conditions under which your business must function. DSD always makes clients who require immediate onsite support our top priority.
High Staff TurnoverThe single most valuable asset for a Reseller is their staff - And you can usually judge the reputation of a company by how well they treat their employees. DSD values it's employees and experiences growth, but very little turn over in staff. If none of your contacts have been with their company for very long, there's a chance employee turnover could cause an unplanned interruption in your implementation, resulting in confusion, lost of time and unneeded stress.
