Doug Deane President
Doug Deane, P.E., is the founder, President and CEO of DSD Business Systems. Doug manages the overall strategic direction of the company and participates in day to day operations ensuring an ongoing commitment to excellence in performance, technical expertise and participation in the community.
Doug's unique brand of management manifests itself in this commitment to excellence. A founding member of the ITA (Information Technology Alliance), Doug was also among the first Authorized Resellers of Sage MAS 90, one of the first Master Developers and participated in the first BPAC (Business Partner Advisory Council) meeting. Doug continues to serve on that committee, advising Sage Software and offering a view on the course of product development from the Reseller's perspective. Doug also serves as the Co-Chair of the ITA's Marketing Committee.
Since founding DSD Business Systems in 1984, Doug has been recognized many times by Sage Software, was awarded the 1990 Leadership Award by San Diego's KGTV. Doug has been recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year by the San Diego Business Journal, and his Ethics in Business program was awarded the 2003 California Foundation for Commerce and Education Award by the California Chamber of Commerce.
Of all his accomplishments, Doug is most proud of the fact that the majority of key staff have been with DSD for more than ten or fifteen years, and more than 2/3 of DSD's staff has served the company for more than five years.
Doug graduated from Cornell University in 1979 with a Mechanical Engineering degree and and went on to earn his Professional Engineering license in 1981.
